Hi, I’m Emily Da Ponte
Dedicated Catholic Educator | Inspiring Minds, Shaping Hearts
OCT 653533 | Primary, Junior, Intermediate, Senior
I would like to acknowledge that the land that we are on is the land traditionally used by the Haudenosaunee (Ho-den-o-show-nee), Anishinaabe (Ah-nish-nah-bey), and Chonnonton (Chi-nawn-ton) People. We acknowledge the many Indigenous Peoples whose footsteps have marked these lands for generations. We recognize the land as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those on whose territory we reside or are visiting. We are grateful for the opportunity to be here and make the promise of Truth and Reconciliation real in our community.
Land Acknowledgement
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for bringing us all together in this space.
Grant me the wisdom to continue to learn and grow in Your light.
May my talents and efforts bring glory to Your name
and serve the good of others.
Guide my hands and heart in all that I do,
with humility and grace.
Bless this work as a reflection of the gifts You have given me,
and let it inspire me to continue to follow Your path with faith and love.
Through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Da Pon·te
(də pŏn′tē, dä pōn′tĕ) Portuguese: meaning “from the bridge.”
to guide and support students along their pathways to success.
Why I’m pursuing a vice-principal position:
I believe
In student success through servant transformational leadership.
In bridging the gap between student goals and achievement, and guiding students towards a path of student success.
In a desire to share school culture through a faith-based lens.
In a commitment to equity, inclusion, and student well-being.
In a passion for building community partnerships.
As an aspiring Catholic school leader, I am committed to enhancing the instructional program while nurturing student wellness to align with our Board’s mission, vision, and faith. My leadership focuses on fostering a culture rooted in Catholic values, where educators are empowered through collaboration and shared leadership. I emphasize the importance of data-driven decision-making to monitor student progress and drive school improvement. Guided by equity, well-being, and faith, my goal is to bridge the gaps by cultivating an environment that champions instructional excellence and holistic development for all. I view myself as a bridge, guiding and supporting students on their pathway towards success.
